2019. Greta Thunberg was at the U.N. Young people were taking to the streets to protest climate denialism. Nationalism was on the rise. And my creative partner and myself made an interesting observation.

Monuments around the world depict soldiers planting flags as a show of patriotism. But without a planet, there would be no country for them to fight for. So what if instead of planting flags, we planted trees?

Working with army veterans of Malaysia, this pro-bono campaign of ours turned national monuments into a call for global action.
